Vivitar Vivicam X225
Released November, 2010
The Pros:Pictures are high resolution and very sharp, can be cropped down a fair bit and still look great. Anti-shake feature works really well, don't have to worry about using a tripod. Red eye reduction tool fixes photos quickly and easily.
The Cons:Zoom is very limited, generally results in a softer image. Can't get much detail out of low light conditions, and the flash is a bit weak.
The Vivitar Vivicam X225 is a mid-cost digital camera. The red eye reduction feature of this camera makes it so that fewer photos are ruined by the flash, while the antishake feature of this camera helps to reduce blurred photos.

The 10.1 megapixel resolution of the Vivicam X225 captures images with detail and color. This camera is a step up from the lower cost Vivicam X025 model in that it has a 2.7" display for framing and viewing photos (as opposed to a 2.4" screen), and a 3x optical zoom/8x digital zoom (for more detail far away, and the ability to make large prints with detail). There are four similarly priced cameras at the upper end of this line, and they all have slightly different features: the Vivicam X225 lacks the Vivicam X026's 12.1 megapixel resolution (for more detailed color) and 32MB internal memory, and the Vivicam X324's Auto Focus Zoom 3x 36-108mm 1:2 8-4.8 lens. There are color options available for the Vivitar Vivicam X225 digital camera.
