The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W170 is part of a line of compact digital cameras. It features a 10.1-megapixel Super HAD CCD and Carl Zeiss 5x optical zoom lens (with Smart Zoom technology). It also comes with a 2.7-inch Clear Photo LCD Display and in-camera retouching and basic editing functions.

Like many of the Cyber-shot DSC models, the DSC-W170 also features Face Detection software and Smile Shutter mode so the camera can automatically detect smiling photo subjects.
