The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX5 is an advanced compact digital camera that has numerous features focused on shooting video. With a full 1920x1080 resolution, the camera can also shoot MP4 video at 1080p and 720p.

It also includes a handful of photography features such as optical stabilization, face detection, face motion recognition and smile shutter. Unlike other models, the digital camera is waterproof and has a GPS/Compass tagging feature that shows latitude, longitude and the direction individuals were facing while a photo was being taken.
