Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T900
$380.00
Released April, 2009
The Pros:Records video in high definition (with sound). Large 3.5" high resolution LCD touchscreen (921,600 pixels). Comes in silver, black, red or bronze.
The Cons:Poor warranty (90 days) typical of Sony. Memory Stick Duo storage is more expensive, less capacious and potentially harder to find than other types of flash storage. Not far in price from a much higher quality point and shoot or hybrid (you pay for the compact sleekness at the expense of image quality).

Like its predecessor, the DSC-T900 boasts an intelligent auto mode that “thinks” for the user by detecting scene conditions and then adjusting settings as necessary. Plus, the intelligent auto mode enhances face pictures by capturing natural skin tones, identifying open/closed eyes, and reducing blurs without damaging image quality. In addition to rendering top-quality images, the DSC-T900 records movies (w/sound) at 720p using an MPEG-4 codec. The DSC-T900 also adds along a stereo microphone and a camera stand with HDMI connectivity. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T900 retails for $379.95 and comes with a 90 day limited warranty.
