It can in fact record high-definition 720p videos and highly detailed stills shots up to 4000x3000, all of which can then be transmitted via the HDMI port to a compatible HDTV set. Notable about the WB550 is that it incorporates both Optical AND Digital Image Stabilization technology, which automatically removes blurs and even fixes the effects of low lighting. Laced across the back is a large 3” screen, which unlike the WB1000 is NOT AMOLED. Additional features include a slew of intelligent technologies like Face Detection, Smile Shot, Blink Detection, and Beauty Shot.
