The Samsung PL50 is a 10.2 megapixel camera - an average resolution for cameras released around the same time. What isn't average is the Smart Auto feature, a function that lets a consumer take a photo just like a professional without having to have the know how to do it.

The Smart Auto feature automatically analyzes the situation and selects one of the eleven settings available to take the best possible photo. Another feature the Samsung PL50 has is its Smart Album feature, a sorting function that can sort the photos by time, content, color and theme. This function is absolutely necessary because of the 4GB SD card which is capable of storing up to 2,000 7-megabyte photos - a huge amount to keep track of without the Smart Album.
