Product Shot 2 The underwater protection has been increased from 5 feet to 10 feet, with continuous submergence increasing from 30 minutes to 120 minutes.

Both the single still mode and movie mode contain digital anti-shake capabilities. When using anti-shake for movie mode, the viewing range is decreased to allow for digital compensation of shaking. Movies are captured at 640x480 at 30FPS which is the new standard for cameras of this class.

The camera has a JIS Class 8 rating for water, and JIS Class 5 rating for dust. For dust this means that a small amount of dust can enter the camera, but not in sufficient quantities to affect how the camera works. For water resistant this means no water can enter the camera for the amount and depth specified, but beyond that there are no guarantees.
