The new Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC50 and DMC-LC70 are closely related - the latter featuring the higher resolution with a 4 megapixel imager, whilst the DMC-LC50 has a 3.2 megapixel imager. Both use 3x optical zoom lenses and a variety of features such as Panasonic's Venus Engine LSI, 8-1/2000 seconds shutter speed, MEGA BURST recording, QuickTime motion image recording.

A further difference between the two models is that whilst the DMC-LC50 offers video-only (no sound) recording and video-out connectivity, the 'LC70 supplements this with a built-in microphone and audio/video out connection. The higher model also adds a real-time histogram in record mode.

#panasonic_lumix_dmc_lc70 my camera is a Panasonic DMC-LC70 and here is my problem:
My camera turns itself off, telling me to switch the camera off and then on again, which does not solve the problem. It acts as though it does not know that there is a new alkaline battery in it, or even a fully charges battery. The batteries are definitely good in spite of the little icon of a bad battery on the screen
I can see photos that I have stored in it though
so this problem perplexes me. Is there something wrong with the camera
