The DMC-F2 is the more affordable version of the DMC-F3, with a lower resolution (10.1 instead of 12.1) and smaller LCD screen (2.5"). Both cameras feature Intelligent Scene Selector technology, which automatically selects the appropriate scene mode to minimize time spent adjusting settings. The DMC-F2 also shoots video at a maximum resolution of 848 x 480 pixels, with a 30fps frame rate. Unlike the DMC-F3, the DMC-F2 cannot shoot HD video.
The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-F2S also features a simplifying Auto Scene Mode, which automatically adjusts ISO according to subject movement, detects faces, detects and adjusts to hand-shake, removes red-eye and detects scene conditions.
