The Olympus FE-4050 is a compact digital camera with a basic feature set. It captures images in 12 megapixels, and can also record video in basic VGA format. The 4x optical zoom captures images in a 27mm wide-angle format.

Image stabilization allows for handheld shooting, and the sensor is sensitive enough to allow for low-light photography. The 2.7 inch LCD shows the target in vivid color for easy use. 6 filters are built into the camera, allowing a variety of effects from fisheye warping to soft focus. The auto-focus system uses face detection to lock onto the subject quickly.
