At 1", the FE-350's body is the second thickest in the FE-3xx series, but it houses a 3" display -- the line's largest -- to bring fine detail into view. 17 shooting modes and in-camera help make capturing challenging subjects easy even for beginners. While effective, this model's Digital Image Stabilization ("DIS") amounts to little more than automatic ISO control and fast shutter speeds (contrast this with the built-in gyro sensor and Digital Image Stabilization Edit of the FE-320 and FE-340, or the sensor-shift Dual Image Stabilization of the FE-370). Further, no camera in the FE-3xx series is less sensitive to light. An effective 640 maximum ISO combined with long focal lengths can still make capturing sharp hand-held shots a challenge in lower-light situations. Video can be recorded at 15 fps, half of what most of the FE-3xx series can manage.
