Nikon Coolpix S60
$350.00
Released September, 2008
The Pros:Easy enough to use without needing to read the instructions. LCD is very big, clear picture makes it easy to find your target. Setup is fast, quality settings and shooting mode take just a moment to set.
The Cons:Battery runs down fairly quickly. Low light pictures are grainy and show dramatic color shift. Delay after pressing the shutter release, misses things sometimes.
The Nikon Coolpix S60 is an ultracompact that is dominated on the rear by a 3.5" LCD touchscreen. Menu selections and even setting focus target are accomplished via the touchscreen, rather than through buttons (the only buttons on the camera are the on/off and shutter release buttons).
