With the built-in WiFi capabilities you can connect to a wireless access point directly, and then e-mail your photos to yourself or other people, or transfer your pictures to a secure Nikon server that lets you store up to 2GB of images. It is currently unknown as to whether or not storing your pictures on Nikon's servers will cost money through a subscription fee, but most likely the service will be free.

Similar to other cameras in this size and price range, the S50c features a periscoping lens to achieve its zooming capabilities. Some reports have mentioned that the lens type can cause quality issues with the edges of the pictures. Furthermore, the number of shots per charge (130) is in the low range compared to other cameras of this type.
