The Coolpix S100 from Nikon is one of four additions to the company's Coolpix S-Series, designed to cater to the discerning recreational photographer, each of which boasting specific strengths. The S100 aims to impress the style conscious with its sleek design and variety of color options (including red, black, purple, and gold).

Featuring a 16.0 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, and able to capture film in full 1080p HD, it also boasts the ability to record 3D images. Though the body is compact and slender, it hosts a relatively large 3.5 inch, 820,000 dot, OLED touchscreen with an enhanced user interface for high quality on-camera playback.
