GE E1255W
$200.00
Released June, 2009
The Pros:Excellent outdoor performance especially at this price point. Face, Blink and Smile detection all work very well. Battery life is great--can easily through a full day of heavy use.
The Cons:Image stabilization can sometimes really slow down shot taking. Manual mode still doesn't allow you to adjust aperture and shutter speed. Controls are too small and cramped to be used comfortably.
The GE E1255W camera has a 3.0" touch screen that also serves as user interface, making it simplier to use. The camera has a decent 12-megapixel resolution and comes with a nifty Pan-Capture Panorama feature which is great for vacations or shots of vast scenes of nature.
